Week 2 (5/6-9/6) Painting and Life drawing exhibition

Setting up the studio for assessment and also working like a cow with my painting...The work in process of my painting is featured on my Instagram.

Also, the Life Drawing Society members' works exhibition is on in the school library until September.

I had my whole sketchbook on display!

Also, the Artist in Residence, Chris Horner's solo exhibition is on at the Black Box on campus. I went to the private view on Wednesday the 3rd. He introduced his work and explained his process passionately.

Among his cement bag sculptural paintings, I particularly like these two small ones because of the complexity of the patterns, which might be explainable by experts in materials because smaller surface area/volume might have different effects with water, wax, heat, coldness etc. Chris' concrete sculpture has a very special texture on the surface, unlike usual concrete. It is smooth and shiny! All this would require specific knowledge he has about construction materials!
